Background
Patrick Mellor grew up in Thomaston, Maine before attending Saint Michael's College in Winooski, Vermont, graduating in 1991. He received his Juris Doctor from University of Maine School of Law in 1998. After law school, he clerked for Judge James Z. Davis at the Utah Court of Appeals. Upon completing his clerkship, he worked for a Portland firm through 2005, before returning to Midcoast Maine with the firm of Strout & Payson, P.A. Currently, Patrick has a robust and successful litigation practice. He has assisted hundreds of businesses in creating corporations or limited liability companies, guiding clients through employer / employee agreements, substantive asset transactions, partnership agreements, corporate by-laws and LLC agreements. Patrick uses his well-rounded practical experience and common sense to assist in resolving disputes through the alternative dispute resolution process.
